The Plainfield Area Regional Sewerage Authority (PARSA) Introduced its fiscal 2017 Budget at the November 3, 2016 Authority meeting (see Resolution 2016-10). Enclosed is a copy of the 2017 Budget. The 2017 Budget is $12,237,725 which is a $335,342 increase from the 2016 Budget. The Service Charges to be raised from the Municipalities is $11,530,595which is a $94,562 increase from 2016. This is the first increase in the Service Charges in 5-years. The Budget does not utilize any unrestricted reserves to balance the budget.
The PARSA Staff were the recipients of 2 awards from the Water Environment Federation (WEF). PARSA's Executive Director, Robert Villee received the WEF 2013 Collection System Award, which is given for meritorious service in collection system management and operations.
Frank Kunz, Bob Snyder, Jr. and Steve Grosso received two WEF Operator Ingenuity CSI Awards for creating the PARSA Flow Bench to calibrate and troubleshoot flow meters before installing them in the sewers, and for designing the PARSA Potty, which has been used for product testing in the war on flushable wipes.
