The Plainfield Area Regional Sewerage Authority (PARSA) Introduced its fiscal 2018 Budget at the November 2, 2017 Authority meeting (see Resolution 2017-17). The 2018 Budget is $13,439,384 which is a $1,201,659 increase from the 2017 Budget. The Service Charges to be raised from the Municipalities are $11,650,143 which is a $119,548, or 1% increase from 2017. The Budget does not utilize any unrestricted reserves to balance the budget. The 2018 Budget is slated for Adoption at the December 7, 2017 Authority Meeting
The PARSA Staff were the recipients of 2 awards from the Water Environment Federation (WEF). PARSA's Executive Director, Robert Villee received the WEF 2013 Collection System Award, which is given for meritorious service in collection system management and operations.
Frank Kunz, Bob Snyder, Jr. and Steve Grosso received two WEF Operator Ingenuity CSI Awards for creating the PARSA Flow Bench to calibrate and troubleshoot flow meters before installing them in the sewers, and for designing the PARSA Potty, which has been used for product testing in the war on flushable wipes.
